Sam Young, DVM

Dr. Sam Young is a native of Pensacola, Florida. He received his undergraduate training at the University of Florida and earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (with honors) at Auburn University. He then served three years in the US Army and received the Army Commendation Medal for his service. Afterwards, he returned to Auburn to complete a surgery residency and received a Masters Degree in Veterinary Surgery.
In addition to his love for veterinary medicine, he enjoys acoustic music, gardening, timber farming, and working with Mountains TOP Outreach Ministry.
When the Drs. Young decided to dedicate their skills to rural veterinary practice, they looked at many potential locations. They decided to come to McMinnville because of the great kindness of the residents and the absolute beauty of the area. Half a century later, they still have no regrets for their choice.
