Dr. Linda McFarland Young was born in Knoxville and grew up in West Point, Mississippi. She completed her pre-veterinary education at Mississippi State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree (with honors) from Auburn University.
In addition to her love for veterinary medicine, she enjoys working with children (particularly with swimming and water safety), church activities, and gardening.
When the Drs. Young decided to dedicate their skills to rural veterinary practice, they looked at many potential locations. They decided to come to McMinnville because of the great kindness of the residents and the absolute beauty of the area. Half a century later, they still have no regrets for their choice.
